| Pachamama is the name of the fertility divinity in the religion of the native people who live on the high plateau of Peruvian and Bolivian Andes. Its name in the Quechua language (official in the ancient kingdom of the Incas) means The Mother Earth. It is in close connection with the agriculture and fertility cults of the autochtonous inhabitants of these regions. The aim of numerous rites (according to tradition and religion) is to honour Pachamama's power and good humour towards people and their necesities, which is one of the main aspects of survival in the andean regions with hard climate. |

En quechua, el idioma oficial del Reino de los Incas, significa "Madre Tierra" y est� muy relacionada con el culto a la agricultura y la fertilidad de la poblaci�n aut�ctona. Subsisten muchos ritos en la tradici�n y religi�n locales que intentan atraer el favor de Pachamama hacia las gentes y sus necesidades, en el crudo clima del Altiplano, que tan dif�cil hace la supervivencia. |

Pacamama za njih ima vrlo veliki znacaj i u tesnoj je vezi sa zemljoradnjom i kultom plodnosti. Mnogobrojni su rituali koji prema tradiciji i religiji imaju za cilj da se umilostivi, kako bi bila blagonaklona prema ljudskom rodu i njegovim potrebama, sto je u andskom podneblju sa surovom klimom jedan od glavnih uslova opstanka. |
